Current prices: BTC = around $8.9k (+9%) ETH = around $619 (+20%) XRP = around $0.89 (+36%) NEO = around $76 (+13%) IOTA = around $2 (+29%) VEN = around $3.86 (+14%) EOS = around $11.66 (+40%) LTC = around $150 (+15%) Many experts believe this is a start of a bull market with the general sentiment being very positive. Dow Jones Media Group Partners With Brave On 18th of April privacy web browser Brave Software and Dow Jones Media Group have announced a partnership aimed at bringing content to new audiences and testing blockchain technology usage in digital publishing. They plan to test a number of innovative solutions in the news and information space, including delivering content via Brave??s blockchain-based digital advertising and services platform. Under the partnership agreement, Barron??s and MarketWatch will become verified publishers on the Basic Attention Token (BAT) platform, developed by Brave. This is actually huge news for cryptocurrency and BAT in general since it increases the adoption. Verge & PornHub partnership On 17th of April Pornhub has annouced they will accept Verge cryptocurrency in order to keep up with its ??community??s payment preferences??. As well as Pornhub??s Premium service, the company??s HD on-demand service, sister sites Brazzers and adult gaming Nutaku will also accept the cryptocurrency. Pornhub cited the current privacy landscape as a reason for accepting cryptocurrency payments. While Pornub and the sister sites are huge multi-billion dollar businesses most of the money from advertisements and affiliate programs, not membership purchases. Because of that I personally don't think it should help Verge too much. Bitcoin declared halal under Islamic Law On 16th of April Mufti Muhammad Abu Bakar, an Islamic scholar and head of Sharia compliance at Blossom Finance, wrote a study on the issue of whether Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency that should be accepted by Muslims the world over. However, Bakar asserts that Bitcoin is accepted in certain contexts. Bakar uses the example of Germany, where Bitcoin is considered legal tender alongside the Euro ??and therefore qualifies as Islamic money [there].? While there might be no correlation the market moved sharply upwards after news. It makes sense since this theoretically opens market to 1.6 billion people. IOTA - new website and Fujitsu On 16th of April IOTA has updated the website which the aim of looking more professional and accessible for the new users. In my opinion it's a significant improvement over the old website. On 19th of April Kai Pasing the Head of CEO Office, Central Europe, Fujitsu has said on Twitter that Fujitsu has already deployed Enterprise IOTA Full Node. The infographic was saying that a scalable amount of production elements will have dedicated IDs saved on the Tangle with every component being tracked over production cycle. This is a huge application of IOTA and possibly one of the first of many in the future if we look at IOTA's partnerships. VeChain Multi-Party Payment Protocol On 21st of April Vechain has announced VeChain Multi-Party Payment Protocol (MPP). MPP is designed to facilitate transactions between multiple parties even if data is being moved from one non-token owner to another non-token owner. Therefore, everyday users will use the VeChainThor Blockchain with or without the knowledge of it. MPP enables seemingly no change to the end user experience however, All of that is with the aim to bring public blockchain mass adoption through various tools and protocols since the goal of the VeChainThor platform is always to make the processes of entities simpler to push public blockchain adoption. COSS to launch fiat trading COSS supposed to release USD/BTC,ETH,LTC, AND COSS at the end of April. It will join the likes of GDAX, Bitstamp and Kraken as one of the crypto - fiat gateaways. It is however the only exchange with their own token that will also have fiat pairings which could be a very bullish sign for COSS. They also said that credit card deposits and withdrawals will be available soon. One of the disadvantages are high fees and the fact that you can only deposit sums over $1000 which means that it will be difficult to get users who don't want to contribute a lot of money.
